Two short weeks after being diagnosed with terminal Stage 4 liver cancer, Charlie passed away peacefully on March 10, 2019 with his family at his side. After his passing, a memorial fund was created in his name.

The Charlie Karp Memorial Fund is administered by Fairfield County's Community Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. The Fund's mission is to identify and showcase a promising singer, musician, songwriter, or composer between the ages of 12-28, studying or residing in CT. Candidates are asked to submit an electronic audition to a Participating Partner listed below (does not need to be professionally produced).
